Corsica Trail 2010

 

The Corsica Coast Race can from now on compare with the greatest legendary races in the desert
and far off islands.
Humanity raised to its most noble level, a trail in nature with stages in varied grounds, impossible to
do with a 6 kilo burden, while keeping a race pace , all this sublimated by the great friendliness
and the stunning beauty of the sceneries.
After one day rest, you will start the 5th stage doing the longest trail ( 60 kms ), sweating but also
keeping in mind beautiful sceneries once you arrive at your hotel.
180 kms done in stages, bringing sheer happiness and leaving unforgettable memories.

 

The trail course :

6 varied stages, including courses where you can develop your speed, short but steep climbs, long trails in fine sands edging turquoise water, narrow paths winding through rockroses and arbutus trees full of berries, fields of everlasting flowers, wild rocky beaches, steep cliffs, sSo many different landscapes in a virgin and well preserved nature.
From the small fishing villages ot the North Cape ( Cap Corse ) to the patrol stairs inside the fortress of Bonifaccio, 180 kms will be run in short stages ( 13 kms ) and a long one ( 60 kms ), the medium distance being 37 kms.

 

Accommodation :

You will be accommodated in 2 and 3 star hotels. All being situated near the departure spot of the next stage. These hotes have been our partners from the first edition of the race. They all have proved the quality of their services with a professional and helpful staff. All our staff will take care of you with a briefing giving you the details about the stage of the next day and in the evening while we are having dinner all together.
